Disclaimer: I am a committed Tea Party Candidate, however I am not party to the high jacking of the Tea Party movement by the Republican Party. This agenda by the Republican party is grabbing at straws trying to salvage their party. But in the process will splinter, divide, and destroy the best grass roots effort since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Tea Party movement must be non partisan if it is to remain viable. Saving the Republic is what is important here not the Republican Party. The Q&A at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville is testimony to that point.
Last week, was awesome, three events, 1300 miles, collecting signatures, and meeting the folks. The folks, well they’re scared, mad, frustrated, and ready to fight to save their country.
Running for Governor has offered up many rewards. For example, the other day, a fella that Im sure most of you know, Sheriff Richard Mack, signed my ballot petition. Sheriff Mack took on the Brady bill, took it all the way to the Supreme court and kicked butt.
It was great to sit down and have a cup of coffee with this great patriot. There is no doubt that once Im Governor, this great American will cross the threshold to my office many times.
I also have met dozens of American patriots that are standing up and volunteering to do what they can for this campaign.
The other day, a lady told me she said, Bruce your a little rough around the edges but your ringing my bell. Well, that was music “no pun intended” to this OLE red necks ears. Oh, I forgot to mention she used to be a Republican.
For those of you here in Arizona and around the globe, lets see if I can put some perspective on this campaign.
This campaign will focus on many issues. We will concentrate on State issues but will also, target issues that our state deals with due to the overreach of the federal government. My view is that America and the States must position themselves, so that they can tell the federal government to back off or we will simply let you drift out to sea.
Washington DC has bribed the States and their people with money in exchange for votes. The result is like Rip Van Winkle, we have been on a very long sleep.
Well, that’s almost over. What do I mean by that? Well, we have to stop accepting those bribes. Its a time for choosing. Now is the time for Conservative Constitutional State Governments to emerge all across America. And the best way , in my view to do that is with third party Conservative Candidates. NO RINOS or Marxist.
Neither Americans or Arizona’s will stand for a Centralized Government subordinating our National Sovereignty to International Courts or organizations chartered by the United Nations, We simply will not tolerate it.
I will work to restore literal interpretations of the U.S. Constitution and the controls it places on the Federal and State Governments. In short” Those powers not specifically granted to the federal government, reside in the States and in the individual citizen.”
I will work to restore States Rights, and return usurped powers and responsibilities back to the individual states. We have had lazy governors, now is the time, we must take offensive, tactful, and direct action or we will lose our country.
We must dramatically reduce the size of state government. We must work with our counterparts in Washington to slash federal spending to the bone. While maintaining a strong military. We must set up a system that federal legislation may not be drafted unless there is a majority desire among the states. Think about this, you want to return national policy to the states. Well here you go!!! Remember the Federal government exists because of the states not the other way around. In other words we must throw a rope around the federal government and drag it back to the corral or just let go of it altogether.
One issue that I seem to never have time to spend on at these events is Agriculture.
We are a nation of amazing agricultural experience and knowledge. We need to work harder and smarter to bring Agriculture back to the number one industry in the United States. And if we shut down all these agreement like Nafta and Cafta, plus stepping on these anti American agencies. We could bring back manufacturing and millions of jobs almost over night. We need to use tax policy to encourage our youth to stay on the farm, and indeed to start new farms. We cannot feed ourselves trying to plant on concrete. There needs to be incentives for keeping the farm alive and healthy, Now lets be clear though, Im not talking about taxpayer subsidies. We need to be able to feed ourselves. We do not need to be consuming Genetically altered grains and feed stock. We have millions of acres that are currently in that old program “CRP” other wise known as Crop Reduction Program. These acres were developed to control pricing and our farmers.
Ronald Reagan address farming in several of his speeches in the 60s and early 80′s . The enemy of farm growth and production is the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This agency should be eliminated by Congress, I do know that once Sen. Charles Grassley is sent back to the farm in Iowa, that there are a number of junior Senators that will take up that issue. But we here at home must create legislation and put forth a law that removes the U.S.D.A from our states. One example is the Timber industry. It could thrive again, if we would just tell the U.S.D.A to take a hike.
I plan to do just that if Im elected as the next governor of AZ.

There was a young lady there by the name of Laura Leighton, she and co author Dave Gibson have written a great book you all need to order and read.
