In this snapshot, that obviously does not take population into account, you may note the 20 states that unanimously rejected the bill – in contrast to the 17 states that agreed with it.
The vote for cloture (to stop debate and go ahead and pass it) for SB 1776 (don’t you just LOVE the bill number?), a ‘breakout’ portion of Obamacare, went down in flames by a vote of 47 to 53 yesterday (60 votes required).
Huge thanks goes to the 12 Senators from the Democratic side of the isle that could not stomach the shell game and what it contained.
Remember the ‘deficit neutral’ statement about Obamacare? This was the anti-gun breakout from it to allow this mandate to be achieved – because, after all, it was ‘in another bill’…
Basically, this $247 billion dollar portion of the original Obamacare bill would assemble all your health data – including whether you owned a gun or not and if you were depressed… in a Social Security data base (to be summarily handed over to the UN…). It would also create a government-mandated increased insurance risk for all gun owners, further ‘nudging’ them into disarmament.
YOU did this, but we all must remain as vigilant as our antagonists.
